Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance and Administration Assistant is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in all business accounting activities as well as ad hoc office administration.

This role will be a minimum of 15 hours per week with opportunity to grow with the company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase ledger management
  • Sales ledger management
  • Supplier and expense claim payment runs
  • Credit Control
  • Bank reconciliations (including Sterling and Euro accounts)
  • Maintain fixed asset registers
  • Intercompany postings
  • Reconciling credit card statements
  • Assist with preparation for month/quarter/year end reporting
  • Ad hoc duties to support Finance function
  • General office support including purchasing of sundries

Experience and Skills

Essential

  • AAT Level 3 or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Very good understanding of Microsoft Office suite
  • Full UK driver's license
  • Ability to follow workflows in an engineering business

  • Sage 50 experience
  • Good general education and qualifications
