Our client is a large manufacturing organisation based in Bradford.

They are currently looking for an experienced Direct Buyer who will be responsible for the buying of materials for NPI projects.

This role is an excellent development role and would be ideal for an individual at Junior Buyer level looking for that next step up.

Working closely with the procurement and programme management teams and alongside the quality department, you will formulate new product supply chain strategies whilst managing the total cost of purchased products.

Responsibilities:

Create and drive product supply strategy across NPI projects

Ensure that the NPI programmes are delivered against targets.

Develop systems, processes and procedures ensuring best practice is adhered to at all times.

Market trend analysis.

Supplier negotiation and selection.

Management of end-to-end procurement process.

Provide regular updates in relation to cost saving and supplier performance.

Stakeholder management.

Skills and experience required:

Some procurement experience in a manufacturing/engineering/product environment

Excellent negotiation skills and experience

Strong stakeholder management skills

MRP experience would be advantageous.

Proactive and engaging style
