Description
We are looking for a Community Housing Officer to work with our client. You will be working with the community regularly and must have knowledge of affordable housing. Construction experience is preffered. This does involve travel between Perth and Moray so must hold a full UK licence.


Main duties of post:

  • Investigating ways to deliver affordable housing and how to increase community ownership of land and assets.
  • Keep abreast with funding options for communities and advise communities accordingly.
  • Meeting with community groups, presenting information on the client's work and attending a range of community events.
  • Attending housing surgeries in communities and meeting with individuals to discuss needs.
  • Liaising with communities to arrange housing surveys and thereafter writing reports based on survey findings.
  • Arranging and attending meetings to work collaboratively with partner organisations and stakeholders
  • Obtaining quotes for work from third parties and preparing tender responses for the clients project work.
  • Working with communities to identify skills gaps and training needs.
  • Working closely with the construction development team on projects through to construction completion stage.
  • Preparation of Business Plans for community projects.
  • Updating records and databases.
  • Networking in local area to establish strong working relationships with local authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Attend and represent the client at conferences and local events.
  • Regular and effective reporting to management
  • Any other relevant duties as deemed necessary.

Salary:
£31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
