Payroll & Benefits Administrator

Location:
Hertfordshire


Salary:
£30,000

We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join a Retail Company based in Hertfordshire.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful individual will be responsible for the full payroll process, including end-to-end processing of payroll, administering monthly payments, and providing advice and support on payroll queries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payrolls
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions such as SSP, SMP and SPP
  • Administer monthly payments
  • Provide advice and support on payroll queries
  • Processing salary sacrifice of Child Care Vouchers
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Prepare and submit reports to HMRC
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff
  • Maintain payroll records
  • Assist with any other adhoc payroll duties

Technical Skills:

  • Experience of using payroll systems
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
