Northwood, one of the leading estates and letting agent in UK is looking for a confident outgoing individual with the ability to multitask and work well within a team environment.

You will enjoy face to face contact with customers and have an excellent telephone manner.

The role will involve dealing daily with new landlords and potential tenants, booking viewings, and dealing with general lettings enquiries.

Good IT skills is essential and training will be given on all aspects of the lettings business within the office.

Working days will be Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm and one Saturday per month. Previous experience within the letting industry is required for this position.


Summary of Responsibilities


Working as part of a busy team, this involves liaison with other functions in the branch in order to maximise the number of residential properties let by Northwood whilst, at the same time, maintaining a high standard of Best Practice and compliance with all current law relating to Data Storage and the Residential Lettings Practice.

This is a varied position and ability to multitasking is essential.


The role involves meeting targets and deadlines, protecting the integrity of Northwood at all times and occasionally covering for colleagues whilst absent.

As well as meeting targets the applicant must be prepared to use the current software system at all times to make business transactions with landlords and to update relevant websites(if required) and marketing media to maximise the promotion of both properties and the business in general.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To register tenant enquiries and contribute to an effective database of customers.
  • To maintain 131/diary systems as required.
  • To request and record accurately personal details of applicants
  • To deal with the above with discretion at all times.
  • To arrange and accompany viewings.
  • To keep all parties informed of developments.
  • To carry out and produce a detailed Inventory of rental property prior to tenancy commencing.
  • To produce AST and ensure signed and processed correctly. Prescribed information explained to necessary parties
  • To react & deal with maintenance issues ensuring they are reported correctly and followed up.
  • To store all information on the provided IT system in accordance with the Data Protection Act 199
  • To manage the archiving process
  • To ensure that properly signed agreement documents are in place in accordance with Customer Protective Legislation and to keep proper records thereafter.
  • To undertake other duties as requested and attend training to a satisfactory standard where required to do so.
  • To manage tenant notice period and to carry out detail inspection, ensuring any disputes of deposit are handled correctly.

Salary: 19-22K- Based on experience
