Description
An exciting opportunity has become available within our business. We are looking for an experienced transport planner. You will be joining a small but busy transport office within a fast growing business.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop with the business and be a direct part of it's success.

The hours for this role are Monday - Friday.

The Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Planning routes for drivers, taking in to account load size, load weight, mileage, timings, drivers hours, congestion zones etc.
  • Problem solving, this includes replanning routes/loads at short notice.
  • Communicating with drivers throughout the day, passing work to them and dealing with any issues that arise.
  • Operating on the Courier Exchange platform, bidding for work, updating jobs, uploading POD's, posting and selling work.
  • Operating on the Amazon Relay platform, taking work, updating the system, reporting any issues.
  • Achieve targets set by the supervisor and management team.
  • Provide a very high level of customer service, in order to build relationships with drivers, internal and external customers.
  • Unloading and loading vehicles occasionally
  • Forklift licence training will be provided.
  • General office duties.

Attributes we require:

  • A planning background within the transport industry, dealing with drivers and customers.
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a busy transport environment.
  • Good attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A positive, willing and helpful attitude.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Good IT skills (Excel spreadsheet essential).
  • Be flexible with start and finish times when required.
  • Polish speaking is desirable but not essential.

Salary :
£27k-£30k depending on experience


Salary:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Overtime
