About the Cloud Team
We are transforming our technological landscape to be a cloud first organisation.

We've started by creating a Cloud Platform, building our AWS Organisation, leveraging GitOps practices, and going full automation using Terraform stack.


What you'll do
You'll be working in a team that's focused on delivery of this new platform.

This is a key part of HL's strategy and is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of HL.

You'll pair closely with colleagues from Engineering, Architecture and Data andbe responsible for continually driving key business outcomes for the platform.

In addition, you'll collaborate with multiple stakeholders and SMEs from across the business including, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations.


Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Lead to define the product vision, strategy, and objectives in line with wider business goals.
  • Manage the roadmap and backlog: effectively prioritise opportunities from a range of inputs, understand and prioritise this work so your team is always working on the most impactful initiative.
  • Translate these problems/opportunities into tangible customer problems, through research and regular interaction with customers; define and frame those problems for the team
  • Work directly with your team daily to identify innovative solutions to solve these problems
  • Scope these solutions to their smallest coherent state to deliver to customers as early as you can
  • Ensure that the product has the most chance of success by addressing the key product risks early, value, usability, feasibility, and viability.
  • Constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the customer problem and delivered on the business opportunity through quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • Lead and motivate a team of people to do their best work

About you

Essential criteria

  • 4+ years' experience in a Product Manager role
  • Experience working in a crossfunctional product team with design and engineering experts
  • Technically minded and have experience managing software products and navigating difficult technical tradeoffs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
  • Strong cpmmercial and business awareness. Able to budget and forecast effectively
  • Experience of using both quantitative and qualitative inputs to make informed product decisions and deliver meaningful insights
  • Entrepreneurial and selfdriven. You don't need direction

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in Financial Services, Banking, or FinTech
