As the lead you will have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and a high level of communication skills, as you act as the interface between patients and other healthcare professionals.

You will have the ability to motivate and develop your teams ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to care for their patients.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our established IBD service. The delivery of the service aims to deliver high quality care with an emphasis on patient-centred care.

The service offers care to all patients above the age of 17 to cover all aspects of Inflammatory Bowel Disease:
medical, nursing, and surgical treatments, psychological and nutritional support, research and education.

The services have been developed and are delivered with the patient's needs at the heart.

Some services are offered as designated specialist multi-disciplinary clinics, Biologic, Medical-surgical for refractory UC, complex Crohns and perianal disease and IBD surveillance clinics.

The new diagnosis clinic offers educational and a supportive environment for people newly diagnosed with IBD.

Our specialist IBD team consists of medical and surgical consultants, nurses, clinical fellows, dietitians, and pharmacists supported by administrative and secretarial staff.

Our IBD specialist nurses offer patients information, education, and support about all aspects of IBD. The successful applicant must have at least 2 years' experience within the Speciality.
