Accounts Assistant - Dumbarton
Highly varied role for an Accounts Assistant with experience ideally gained within a large organisation.

Your remit will be highly varied and you will support the Finance Manager and provide assistance with financial reporting and accounting activity for group.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To support the Controller and the wider Accounts team to meet financial activities
  • Provide back up support to the purchase ledger clerk

Primary Accountabilities will include:


  • Support the financial leader of Accounts
  • To provide accurate financial support.
  • Provide support services by working with all departments to maximise business performance
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries
  • Input of manual journal entries
  • Compilation of Contract Cost of Sales
  • Compilation of Contract Cost Statements
  • Reconciliation of Contract as Sold v As Shipped Sales and Costs
  • Reconciliation of Inter Company Debtors and Creditors
  • Balance Sheet activities
  • Control and data entry of engineering time sheets
  • Assist with Management Accounts and supporting schedules
  • Preparation of Monthly Department Overhead Statements
  • Data Entry of subsidiary accounts to consolidation process.
  • Ensure filing is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks, including credit control
  • Accounting related qualification and/or previous experience within Accounts team. Able to demonstrate relevant financial knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (i.e., SAP, Oracle) MS Office and other accounting systems.
