About us
- The Science Museum Group is all about inspiring futures. The Digital team's strategic focus is to grow online audiences and enhance their experience of our websites.
- To support this work, we are now seeking an Assistant Digital Content Editor to support the Web Manager and Communications team at the National Railway Museum to ensure that the website reflects the programme of events and activities taking place and make sure that the information is always up to date and accurate. This role is a part time (28 hours pw), fixedterm contract until September 2025.
About the role
- In addition, you will support the Web Managers at the other museums in the group with the daytoday updates to the Museum websites alongside managing content related to our cultural programme of exhibitions, events, cinema screenings, and our collections.
- The role sits within the Digital Department so you will have the opportunity to feed into new website developments across the Science Museum Group, working with colleagues at all the Museums.
About you
- As Assistant Digital Content Editor, you will bring a passion for creating and editing online content, with an understanding of audience needs and what makes compelling, engaging and accessible web content. You will bring some experience in producing and editing content for the web i.e., a blog, and will have a good eye for detail. You will be able to build good working relationships, and will be able to prioritise a busy workload effectively.
