**Job Title
- Plant services and operations coordinator**An Exciting opportunity has arisen to supervise and coordinate plant activities and operations
Day to Day
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Plan, direct and co-ordinate and schedule fitters' daily schedules, ensuring we are prioritising workload and using their time effectively
- Responding to site calls in a timely manner for all site vehicle/plant breakdowns, punctures and hose failures, with little impact to site performance, down time and productivity
- Liaising with site foremen and Contracts Managers to arrange machine servicing at convenient times whilst maintaining manufacturer guidelines for maintenance
- Ordering replacement parts, service kits, consumables and oils for the workshop to keep the fleet maintained and fit for purpose
- Ordering replacement parts, service kits, consumables and oils for the field service engineers to keep the fleet maintained and fit for use.
- Maintaining direct communication with the hire desk to ensure they are kept updated of plant down times
- Liaise with manufacturers to ensure plant is repaired under warranty where possible
- Review all paperwork regarding repairs and damages so that and charging damages are correctly made to the relevant sites a sites
- Ensure all plant is site safe and has 6monthly/12monthly safety inspections completed at the correct time under Loler and Puwer regulations
- Assist with the transport planning across other areas as and when required
essential skills
- CSCS card
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Demonstrable experience of managing and maintaining a fleet of construction plant equipment and machinery
- Continuous process improvement
- A broad knowledge of plant equipment
- Good working knowledge and technical understanding of plant machinery manufacturers such as Hitachi, Volvo, Caterpillar, Case, Kubota, Bomag, Thwaites and Wacker Neuson
- Ability to organise and schedule workload effectively for the purpose of meeting deadlines
