Due to promotion, Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Trust has an exciting and challenging role within the Pharmacy Department and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Dispensary team.
The post holder will be based in the three Pharmacy Dispensaries and will supply medications to service users. You will also be advising and selling over the counter medicines once you have gained your qualification.Full in house training will be given.
We are looking for applicants who are eager to learn, able to work in a busy, fast paced environment and able to work using their own initiative.
Applicants will be expected to complete a qualification in Pharmacy Services and over the counter selling medicines (If they don't already possess this).
You will need 2 GCSE's at grade D or above (New Grade 4) or equivalent, in Maths and English Language.

Job Purpose
- To undertake a wide range of stock management, monitoring and dispensing duties in the Pharmacy
- To undertake the sale of "over the counter" medicines
- To undertake a range of reception duties in support of the pharmacy dispensaries
- To carry out general stock management duties in all areas of the pharmacy including receipt of goods,
- To undertake the dispensing of medicines under the direction of Pharmacy Technicians, including
- To undertake the delivery of dispensed items to ward and other clinical areas in accordance with
- To undertake pharmacy reception duties including receipt of prescriptions, handling of prescription charges
- To undertake the relevant rotational in house training programme (including relevant aspect of the Level 2
supervision of the technical staff in Patient Services.
- To undertake any other duties which may be requested by the Head of Medicines Management or Team
