IDEXX Laboratories are looking for a Pathology Operations Coordinator to support our UK & European Pathology departments with the validation and release of non-interpreted results to customers, supplying the pathology team with digital images generated from all UK & European laboratories and to maximise the overall efficiency of the UK & European Pathology team.

The responsibility of this position is to ensure accuracy and timely validation of results back to customers whilst always providing excellent customer service.

To help and support the Pathology Operations team where necessary in the running of a small but very busy department.

In this Role:


You will load the digital scanners for distribution of work to the Pathology team, the filing of slides returned from offsite pathologists and the onsite scanned slides.

You will help with the archiving system of slides.

You will deal with client queries in a prompt manner whilst dealing with queries from Pathologists and laboratory staff.


You will deal with the packing and shipping of cytology samples to off-site Pathologists as well as the cleaning and general housekeeping of the scanner room.


What You Will Need to Succeed:

We are looking for someone who is used to managing a high workload and dealing with internal and external customers, with the ability to trouble shoot problems as and when needed.

You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with a science or laboratory background preferred but not essential.

You will be able to work effectively as a team member and as an individual is equally as important.


You will have excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask whilst dealing with lots of different customers/clients.

You will be able to prioritize tasks whilst working under pressure.
