Start People are currently recruiting for Machine operators for our growing client in Maghull.

This position will be responsible for the effective operation of a bagging and packing machine, and will include being trained up as a primary operator for a new machine, in addition to taking ownership of the machine/area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operating the Sandiacre machine to produce highquality packaged materials
Startup checks and setting up a multifunctional bagging machine
Ensuring machine is operating at target pack per minute
Diagnosing & escalating machinery breakdown problems
Completing paperwork to the required standard
Performing changeovers and ensuring downtime is minimised
Monitoring production output and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer requirements
Ensuring food hygiene, food safety and health & safety practices are adhered to
Be responsible for a small team of production operative workers

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience operating and setting packaging/bagging machinery or similar equipment
Strong mechanical and technical skills
Ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills
Prepared to support and develop 'best in class'
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
