Overview / Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of International Procurement.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the business achieves best value and minimises risk from its suppliers across the UK.

You will ensure that supplier performance and risk are managed effectively throughout the supply chain identifying areas for savings, efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities driving increased value to TU.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in building out the UK TPRM framework which is in its infancy.


Core Accountabilities / Responsibilties:


  • Proactively manage in collaboration with the business, TU's strategic suppliers to optimise performance, drive innovation, adhere to responsible business best practice and reduce risk
  • Support implementation & evolution of UK TPRM framework
  • Create supplier improvement plans around all aspects of Supplier Management; from contract, risk and service management, through to relationship and value enhancement with key suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage risks as it relates to key Suppliers and assess operational and financial resiliency.
  • Optimizing external spend for the business with existing Supplier base and delivering cost/value/business benefit. Delivering budgeted targets (savings, cash flow, cost reduction depending on business focus) to drive improvements in operating margin and deliver the business' strategic priorities.
  • Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders to identify and deliver improved Supplier management solutions.
  • Supporting negotiations of contracts as an SME on Service levels, exit plans etc
  • Feeding valuable intel and insights into global category plans/strategies
  • Undertake market analysis to identify new opportunities to drive value
  • Producing insightful reporting and MI for stakeholders and governance meetings
  • Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of business objectives and drive essential behavioural and process change
  • Influencing and ensuring business compliance to relevant policies, procedures and practices.
  • Implement and lead appropriate cross functional Third Party Risk meetings and appropriate reporting.
  • Assess and monitor key Suppliers' supply chain and subcontracting risks.
  • Manage Suppliers to ensure they meet contractual requirements, such as SLAs, requirements for BCP testing and audit requirements
  • Managing Service levels and Service level issues
  • Managing and coordinating regular review process with Suppliers to assess and manage risks and ensure they meet contractual requirements

Impact You'll Make:


Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Essential

  • Supplier Management experience essential
  • Third Party Risk Management experience highly desirable
  • Understanding of key regulation pertaining to Financial Services ie. FCA, PRA, EBA desirable
  • Strong commercial background
  • Sound commercial contracts knowledge
  • Stakeholder management
  • Understanding of Business Continuity
  • Procurement experience desirable
  • Influencing and persuasion skills
  • Change management experience
