Apprentice Engineer (Compressed Air and Vacuum Technician - Level 3)

Compressed Air and Vacuum Technician - Level 3
Wessex Compressors is currently looking for a motivated and driven Apprentice to work alongside Multi Skilled Engineers, learning the trade from professionals.
Undertaking electrical and mechanical tasks, the Apprentice will learn on the job and be given all the opportunities for a strong foundation to grow within the compressed air industry.
The apprentice will also be undertaking a 36-month Level 3 qualification using Semester Learning and Development, which will be office based one day a week for the duration of the apprenticeship.
Requirements for the Compressed Air and Vacuum TechnicianGCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential
ICT Literacy
The Role of the Compressed Air and Vacuum Technician
Typical tasks involved in the apprenticeship include:
Installing and commissioning compressed air and/or vacuum equipment and their associated systems
Completing planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis and ensuring equipment is working at its optimum efficiency.
The apprentice will also be trained to complete a range of documentation/reports, including risk assessments and service records.
The apprentice is expected to interact with their team colleagues, managers, sub-contractors, and customers for various activities.
One day a week will be set aside for undertaking a Compressed Air and Vacuum Technician - Level 3 qualification at the Wessex Compressors Poole office.
