About the role


You'll be working across a range of accounts - Subway, MacMillan, Direct Line Group, P&O Cruises, Cisco, John Lewis Finance, Allegra, Microsoft.

And supporting the agency in new business responses.


You'll work collaboratively with your account, strategy, data, tech, and creative partners to gather insight, shape client strategy, write inspirational briefs, guide creative development and deliver integrated communications strategies, plans, and campaigns.


This will involve gathering and analysing audience, category and culture and channel insights and building strategies from that understanding to ensure our clients deliver the right message, to the right people, at the right time to achieve their objectives.

Creating and facilitating workshops and focus groups.

You'll have experience of working in marketing communications - ideally in an agency within a planning or strategy role.

You'll have critical thinking skills and experience and be comfortable working with data-driven insights and research to create communications plans.

You will also need to demonstrate you are a natural storyteller, able to inspire and guide people to work well with creative teams and guide the output to be on strategy.


Key responsibilities

  • Analyse and client briefs and understand and recommend what strategic elements are required to deliver the project effectively and efficiently.
  • Involve gathering and analysing audience, category and culture and channel insights
  • Build out communications strategies and plans that deliver client messages to the right people, at the right team, in the right place
  • Creating and facilitating workshops and focus groups
  • Ensure that both client and agency meet objectives and targets
  • Be a creative catalyst distil your strategies into strong and clear creative briefs
  • Work closely with Data Planning and the client to build datadriven solutions
  • Build strong strategic relationships with account teams and clients

Required experience and skills

  • Critical thinking skills the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights
  • Excellent storytelling, written and presentation skills
  • A clear understanding of the CRM discipline and strong channel knowledge
  • A good knowledge of the paid, owned, and earned media landscape
  • Demonstrable experience in developing communications
  • The ability to create strong and clear creative briefs that inspire creative teams
  • The ability to work directly with our clients to inspire and reassure them

Working with others

  • Be curious and collaborative in helping the agency deliver well on the projects and interactions with clients.
  • Manage your time effectively drawing on help from Planning Directors and the Head of Strategy when needed
  • Report time accurately to ensure the agency is compensated appropriately for your client / project time
  • Demonstrate great value to clients on the projects you work on
