Description

We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our busy team in Reading.

Status:
Permanent

Salary:
£35,000 per annum plus benefits

Hours:
Full-Time (basic hours are 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.)

Database Administrator Role:

Reporting into the Chief Technology Officer, the Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the company's IT infrastructure is running smoothly on a day to day basis, and act as a first point of contact for all database related issues.

Database Administrator Requirements:

A solid understanding of the Microsoft languages including SQL, QQL, XQuery, SQL/XML and NoSQL
A thorough understanding of database management systems
Previous experience using both Maria DB and Mongo DB
Sound knowledge of using Microsoft Access
Working knowledge of Container (Docker) and Container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C, Visual Basic, Node, HTML/CSS and PHP
Good communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills
High energy with the ability to multitask and prioritise as appropriate
Selfmotivation with a positive approach
Living within a reasonable commute of Reading.
