About Basecamp Skills:

Basecamp Skills is a professional Digital Marketing Academy delivering world class, industry led training courses. The Academy is a brand-new business born off the back of the highly successful investment company Fearless Adventures.

With cohorts starting every 6/7 weeks for a 12 weeklong period. The outcome for the

learner is to learn then launch, re-skill into a new career in the industry or for those who are self-employed or employed to upskill.

Our apprenticeship division will launch by July 2024 providing further learning opportunities for our alumni. It is our aim to train 1000 learners by the end of 2025.

We provide careers advice, guidance, and support for all our learners to enable them to successfully secure their new job role.

Our learning environment is nurturing and inclusive and we pride ourselves on giving life changing opportunities for those facing barriers to entry via more traditional routes.

The Role:

The Careers Coach is responsible for providing comprehensive career guidance and support to learners throughout their journey in the bootcamp and beyond.

This role is crucial in equipping learners with the necessary skills, resources, and strategies to navigate the job market successfully and achieve their career aspirations in the digital marketing field.

What you'll be doing:

Career Counselling and Mentorship:

Conduct oneonone career coaching sessions with learners to understand their goals, strengths, and areas for development.
Provide personalised guidance on career planning, job search strategies, CV and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and salary negotiation
Mentor learners through the various stages of their job search process, offering support, feedback, and encouragement.

Professional Development:

Develop and deliver workshops and seminars on various careerrelated topics, such as personal branding, networking, and industry trends.
Organise and facilitate guest speaker sessions with industry professionals to provide learners with insights and exposure to realworld experiences.
Collaborate with instructors and curriculum developers to ensure alignment between the bootcamp's content and the skills sought by employers in the digital marketing industry.

Employer Engagement and Networking:

Represent the bootcamp at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences to promote learners and establish connections with potential employers.
Collaborate with the partnerships team to identify and secure internship opportunities and entrylevel positions for learners.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Prepare and present regular reports on the effectiveness of career services and identify areas for improvement.
Gather feedback from learners and employers to enhance the career support services offered by the bootcamp.

What you'll bring to the role:

Proven experience in career coaching, job placement, or workforce development
Strong knowledge of the digital marketing industry and its job market
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with employers and industry professionals
Proficiency in using job search platforms, applicant tracking systems, and career development tools
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
