You'll be responsible for overseeing the overall running of the Accounts Office, training of the team, delivery of work following company procedures and quality management support.


What you'll do
Business Awareness

  • Awareness of sales, spend and profit targets and how to maximise these
  • Forecasting
  • Managing payroll costs
  • Spend monitoring and stocktake
  • Planning and implementation of promotional opportunities
People Management

  • Motivate team to encourage good team morale
  • Assisting in recruitment
  • Overseeing onboarding of new employees and creation of a personal development plan
  • Review employee performance
  • Support employees with coaching, training and personal development
  • Assist in any disciplinary procedures
Heath & Safety

  • Attend any statutory training courses
  • Ensure that training is fully recorded, signed and available upon inspection
Operational

  • Overseeing that all accounting procedures are accurately carried out and meet deadlines
  • To be familiar with, train and monitor staff on all Accounting and Control Procedures, including; sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book, payroll, petty cash, daily/monthly revenue reports, management accounts, POS/outlet tills/PMS, forecasting and budgets,and security
