We are looking to appoint to a number of key roles to support this dedicated site, including this position - Admin Team Leader for our Pre Op Assessment Team.

This role will provide senior support to our booking team & theatre scheduling teams within surgical specialities.

The postholder will share our passion for our Trust values & should demonstrate alignment with these in their approach to work.

Commitment to putting patients first & providing excellent customer service is a necessity for the role.

The postholder will take pride in their work, have an eye for detail & be flexible to support & work with others.


The main duties of the job include:

  • Oversee the smooth running and scheduling of the pre op assessment clinics, including robust management of clinic templates including, extra clinics, and clinic cancellations in line with staff annual leave, sickness, and training days
  • Line management of a team of staff in line with Trust policies.
  • Being fully able to fulfil the roles of the booking & scheduling, as well as the appointment and registration.
  • Communicating with patients, clinical offices and other health providers is a main part of this role, as you will be booking, cancelling and rescheduling appointments, taking into consideration the 18week targets and relevant twoweek rule patients.
  • Liaising with scheduling teams to prioritise patients appropriately ensuring clinic efficiency and effective communication with patients, all whilst ensuring you are following the booking protocols and data accuracy.
  • Using your initiative when problems arise and taking actions to resolve problems or escalating to the appropriate person is a key element of this role.
