You will:
- Oversee and lead team development, building individual skill sets and creating a culture for continuous improvement.
- Plan, monitor and control resources to maximise the efficient and effective use of people to ensure that all activities are completed to time, cost and quality.
- Participate in or lead projects to progress effective change and improvement across the team.
- Lead on diversity and inclusivity.
You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.

- The National Monitoring Survey team works with National & Area teams to codeliver all the monitoring requirements of the Environment Agency and the wider environmental community.
- Experience/skills required 1
- You will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
- Experience of leading people. This may have been achieved through non-line management roles for example, project management or technical leadership roles
- Ability to deliver results through others by overseeing staff, coaching and mentoring
- Experience of focusing on and influencing external customers and internal colleagues
- Experience in successfully handling conflict with confidence and assertiveness
- Ability to translate organisational outcomes into plans and programmes for frontline delivery in an operational environment
A spokesperson and advocate for the work with strong communication skills and a proven track record of achieving results through others
Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
Once in post we will support you to complete the level 3 leadership & management apprenticeship.

- The National Monitoring Survey team is a national team, located at various sites around the country with the main office based in Bath. It is anticipated that you will be working in a hybrid manner, combining working remotely at home with officebased work. You will be expected to travel when required to deliver the expectations of our Team charter to ensure the business needs of our team are met and that colleagues are connected and continue to work well together.
