  • The Governors are looking to appoint a hardworking, inspiring and talented leader of Key Stage Three English within our existing team and help take St Oscar Romero Catholic School into the next chapter of its exciting journey. Our school has been on a rapid journey of improvement, something that was recognised in July 2019 when our school was judged outstanding in all categories in its Diocesan Section 48 inspection. Last year, 86% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths and 60% of students achieved at least a Grade 5 (known as a strong pass) in both English and Maths. Our challenge this year is to improve even further on that.
  • The English department is a creative and energetic team, who are always looking for new ways to deliver the curriculum that excite, stretch and provoke curiosity in our students. Their excellent results are evidence of their deep commitment to our students. We are seeking to recruit a KS3 Leader who will bring spark, energy and empathy to the leadership of English as we continue on our quest to be the best school in the country.
