Brief description:
So you'll (among other things):
- Be accountable for the safe and effective management of assigned vessels.
- Ensure that the vessel meets required industry standards.
- Ensure that operational engineering and marine standards are carried out according to company procedures.
- Proactively challenge and interrogate assumptions and perspectives.
- Use your experience and insight to work with vessel management teams to help build people capability.
- Be accountable for senior ships' staff appraisals and contribute to sea staff briefings.
- Work with the vessels to prepare for, and deliver, dockings.
The skills & background you must have:
- Engineering Class I or II Motor/Steam and/or Electrical or Electronic engineering degree or HNC minimum with suitable demonstration of sea time 10+ years vessel experience.
- At least 1 year in rank 2/E or C/E on LNG carrier
- Significant docking experience.
- Previous tech superintendent experience, including vessel maintenance/project management.
- 1 year management of marine assets
And desirable skills & background:
- Previous experience in a marine management role for a period exceeding 2 years dealing with operations/vessels of same/similar type/complexity.
- Significant project management, new build site teams, design and plan approval experience.
