An exciting opportunity has arisen at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust for a Senior Digital Business Partner to join the Digital Business Team on a permanent basis.


This is an incredibly exciting time to join Nottingham University Hospitals Trust as we embark on an ambitious programme to deploy a new Electronic Patient Record for the Trust alongside supporting our Clinical and Corporate Divisions in the delivery of excellent patient care.

Digital technology is also a key enabler to driving efficiencies and underpins the delivery of the wider Trust strategy.

NUH is a flexible employer and remote working is now a fully embedded part of our working practices.

This role involves management of an experienced team of Digital Business Partners and requires an enthusiastic, diligent and hard-working individual to deliver the key objectives.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Partner with leadership experience, or an experienced manager from within the NHS who can bring their knowledge of managing relationships with customers who is looking to gain experience of delivering excellent Digital solutions.


The post holder may be required to participate in an Incident Management on-call rota, to support the needs of the business.

Main duties of the job


The post holder take responsibility for the day to day management of the Digital Business Partnership function, ensuring policies and processes are in place to facilitate strong and successful partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.


The post holder will ensure that the delivery of Digital solutions aligns to the Digital Strategy and the Digital requirements of the business, and supports the transition of demand into solutions that deliver benefits to the organisation and ensures that opportunities to improve the service are developed and implemented.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) are in place with Clinical and Corporate Divisions and will work collaboratively with other leaders within Digital Services and the wider Trust to ensure that we provide the best possible service to NUH.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to at least a master's degree level or have equivalent experience
  • Computer literate, holder of ECDL or equivalent experience in the use of MS Applications
Desirable criteria

  • ITIL Management Qualification
  • A recognised professional qualification in Business Relationship Management
Physical skills

Essential criteria

  • Advanced keyboard skills

  • Requirement to work across NUH and the community. Undertaking senior management duties
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Has at least 5 years' experience of working at a senior level delivering a service to customers with an emphasis on business relationship management
  • Has a clear understanding of Trust Business processes
  • Has excellent knowledge and experience of the Additional Service Request process within NUH.
  • Has experience leading, managing and developing staff
Desirable criteria

  • Experience as a senior manager within an IT Delivery environment.
  • Has experience of working in an NHS business setting
  • Experience of managing complex Additional Service Requests that have resulted in the implementation of successful digital solutions in line with customer requirements
Communication and relationship skills

  • Political awareness can operate at all levels within an organisation and across different organisations
