As we seek to grow our team, we are looking for a people-focused, confident and organised HR Consultant to join our
Belfast office.

What does the role entail? _As a Senior HR Consultant you will be expected to:

  • Deliver the highest quality employee relations (ER) and HR advice to support our clients
  • Deliver coaching and workshop style training to clients on managing HR issues, ER casework procedures and HR technical topics
  • Undertake reviews and audits of HR policies and procedures and their implementation of in client organisations
  • Design, develop and implement policies, procedures and processes that provide up to date and best practice foundations for day to day people management.
  • Compose comprehensive correspondence on ER cases and other HR projects.
  • Support clients with consultations, redundancies, restructures and reorganisations including preparation and facilitation of legal agreements.
  • Manage complex projects such as acquisitions/divestitures/TUPE, job evaluations and pay benchmarking
  • Coach clients on dealing with grievance, disciplinary and performance issues.
  • Remain up to date with employment legislation and best practice developments, and efficiently share this knowledge with colleagues and clients.
  • Retain current clients through exceptional service, expert advice and support.
  • Bring new thinking to organisations to allow the development of their HR function, to support best practice, develop successful leaders and add value.
  • Build long term, lasting relationships to become a trusted advisor, supporting clients through challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and market our services to new and existing clients, such as delivery of public seminars, writing thought leadership articles, ontheroad networking, attendance at networking events and conferences, input into tenders and proposals. You will also be expected to develop your own ideas for growing your client portfolio.
  • Coaching and mentoring of team and delivery of internal training sessions

Essential criteria:_

  • 3rd level education in HR or Employment Law.
  • Demonstrable, relevant experience as a HR generalist, with strong technical HR knowledge and evidence of delivering HR projects and ontheground support and an understanding of how to translate this into simple, effective and practical advice and tools for stakeholders/ clients.
  • Track record of taking ownership to manage HR projects to their conclusion that meet deadlines and are within budget.
  • Track record of managing employee relations cases
  • Experience and knowledge of NI employment law
  • A driving license with the ability to travel to client sites across NI, Republic of Ireland, and the UK when necessary.

Desirable criteria:_

  • Chartered member of CIPD.
  • In depth experience as a HR generalist, with strong technical HR knowledge and evidence of delivering specialist HR projects in a consultancy environment.
  • The ability to develop business, bringing in new customers through your network and or managing accounts.
  • Qualification and experience in mediation.
  • Indepth knowledge of ROI and GB employment law.
