SITE JOINER
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Joiner to join our team. As a Site Joiner, you will play a crucial role in the construction and finishing aspects of timber-framed houses. Your primary responsibilities include performing first fix and second fix joinery tasks, as well as kitchen fittings.
Mostly pricework
Day Rate £25 per hour.... only when pricework not available
Responsibilities:
- Conduct first fix joinery work on timberframed houses, including the installation of pattresses, pipe boxings, door casings, and window boards.
(Typical price for 4 Bed Detached £675)
- Perform second fix joinery tasks, such as fitting skirtings, architraves, doors, stair parts, and pipe boxing.
(Typical Price for 4 Bed Detached House £1050)
- Carry out kitchen fittings, adhering to specifications and ensuring highquality craftsmanship.
(Typical price for 4 Bed Detached House £350 - Utility £150)
Call Adam on
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete joinery tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine the scope of work and required materials.
- Ensure proper measurement, cutting, shaping, and fitting of joinery components to achieve accurate and seamless installations.
- Conduct regular maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth operations onsite.
- Adhere to established health and safety guidelines, taking necessary precautions to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Joiner, preferably with a focus on timberframed houses.
- Sound knowledge of first fix and second fix joinery techniques.
- Proficiency in kitchen fittings, including handling a variety of kitchen components.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and ability to interpret them accurately.
- Excellent woodworking skills and proficiency in using a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
- Relevant joinery qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Flexibility to work on different project sites as required.
Salary:
£15.00-£30.00 per hour
