In D&ML Platform we 're shaping the Group's ambition by enabling the bank to gain value from data by providing safe and efficient Group wide data capabilities and services.

The Data Product Build programme is building strategic data products that will be consumed across the Bank they will be used by all divisions and cross-functional areas.

These data products are being built on public cloud technology and will involve several modern technology components.

As a Scrum Master Chapter Lead you'll operate at Lab level as a change agent with a passion for coaching colleagues and teams to help them reach their best and deliver their best for customers and the bank.

You'll encourage your Lab's understanding of Agile frameworks, Transformation Principles and Practices (TP&Ps) and support them to establish their ways of working, to self-manage and continuously improve in delivering change and value safely.

In summary your role as a Scrum Master Lead is to help the team improve the value they deliver and flow at a sustainable pace.

Within the Data & Machine Learning Platform, a learning culture is important, we continuously strive to improve your knowledge and skills in the role.

As Chapter Lead you'll lead a Chapter of Scrum Masters which will include line management, supporting and developing the capability and learning of the chapter.

Here's where you'll make a difference:

Support the Lab to understand and utilise Agile frameworks (Scaling, Scrum, Kanban etc) and events (scrum of scrums, PI planning, retrospectives etc) to understand the value and purpose of them
Coach and teach teams, Product Owners, Lab Leads, Programme Leads in developing OKRs/product visions and roadmaps
Guide the Lab to break work into small, discrete pieces of value or learning
Promotes best practices in areas including refinement, prioritisation, stakeholder engagement and introducing tools and techniques
Coach and empower the Lab to self-manage, utilise feedback for continuous learning and improvement in efficient and incremental value delivery
Enable the team to understand and visualise the optimal sequence of work, measure and understand their performance through metrics (throughput, cycle time, happiness etc) and use this as the basis for their improvement activity
Coach and support the Lab to identify blockers/barriers to effective delivery and remove
Lead Scrum Master community, Lab and Chapter improvements to their ways of working to help improve efficiency. Share best practice across these groups
Line management of the Chapter Scrum Masters, including helping them increase their capability to achieve their best and provide other line management support as required

What you'll need- Proven deep and extensive experience of working as a Scrum Master on complex multidivisional Cloud based delivery programmes- Flexibility to work with teams across multiple worldwide geographical locations- Learning/curious mindset, energy, and enthusiasm for creative disruption and to continuously strive to improve the organisation, platform lab, and your knowledge and skills. Knowledge and experience of other techniques that support Agile working such as Devops, Lean, System Thinking, Queueing Theory, Complex Adaptive systems, Theory of Constraints/Critical Chain.- Extensive understanding and experience of change delivery lifecycles.- Extensive practical experience working with the Transformation principles and Practices (TP&Ps).- Scrum Master Certification - PSM1 and PSM2 or equivalents
