Description

Butler Rose are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our client a dynamic business based near Honiton.

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating manufacturing operations and ensuring the smooth flow of production processes.

If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for efficient planning, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed analysis of Engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to facilitate informed make/buy decisions.
Generate production part numbers and develop manufacturing BOMs when required.
Issue production orders to initiate manufacturing activities.
Collaborate with other Production Planners to minimise scheduling conflicts across Operations departments.
Provide clear instructions to the Purchasing team regarding procurement requirements and delivery schedules.
Obtain agreement from stakeholders if planned dates deviate from requested dates.
Identify critical path items and liaise with Purchasing to expedite their procurement.
Initiate requests for quotations for parts through collaboration with the Purchasing department.
Maintain uptodate price information for items to be sold by the Sales department.
Estimate material and labour costs to support bidding activities.
Ensure compliance with company policy in managing Personal Data.

Requirements:

Proven experience in production planning or a related field.
Strong proficiency in analysing Engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within crossfunctional teams.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Proficient in using production planning software and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
