Trimley St Martin Primary School is an expanding school with a commitment to high standards and inclusion.

We expect high standards of behaviour from the pupils; and the staff are determined to provide high quality teaching and learning opportunities for all pupils.


We are seeking to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants to work primarily in our Year 3 (post 1) and Year 4 (post 2) classes supporting our children and teachers but with the willingness and flexibility to work across all our classes including working with children with special needs.


You will have experience of working with children, providing interventions, supporting children with special needs, working 1-to-1, with small groups and whole-class support (highly desirable).


You will need:

- enthusiasm and a determination to make a difference to pupil progress and behaviour

  • A level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent or willingness to train
- the ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative
- good English, mathematics and IT skills
- high expectations of yourself and the children you work with including promoting independence where possible
- to be a positive role model who is able to make positive relationships with children
- experience of supporting children in a professional setting, classroom management and working with children of a relevant age
- experience of working effectively alongside outside agencies to improve the provision for the children you work with.
