As a HSE Advisor, you will work with the HSE Manager to ensure that Construction activities across the Garrisons are delivered in compliance with the ADSL Management System (which incorporates statutory and contractual requirements).

This means that youshould be able to work effectively in a demanding environment and meet challenging timescales as you will need to travel across office locations to carry out your daily responsibilities.


You will also provide professional advice, guidance, and assistance to operational teams regarding the implementation of the company's occupational health, safety, and environmental management system to ensure the risks from activities and workplaces areappropriately managed.


In addition, you will carry out the development and delivery of training courses, undertaking asbestos re-inspections, and ensuring periodic reviews of Training records to ensure employees Asbestos Awareness is always in date.


This means that you should be able to prove professional experience in occupational health and safety and environmental management within the Facilities Management (hard and soft FM) and Construction sectors.

You should also have knowledge of the ConstructionDesign Management Regulations and Temporary works.


Ability to influence and guideline managers and other operational staff is also essential for this role, as well as being pro-active with a natural disposition to mentor and teach, combined with strong organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

You must have a minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths & English, NEBOSH Certificate or Construction Certificate, Tech IOSH (or equivalent) and a Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.


You should also have a fully valid UK driving licence and possess ISO 9001 Internal Auditor and P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings qualifications.
