GENERAL LABOURER
R. Mitchell Glass Ltd.

are looking to hire hiring a
GENERAL LABOURER on a permanent, full time basis working from our Galashiels Factory and travelling over the Borders, Edinburgh and the Lothians.

This is an opportunity for the right individual to form a valuable part of our hard working, family run organisation and bring their own personal skills into the company whilst further developing their own career on a wide and varying level within the Glass & Glazing Industry.

Responsibilities:

Load company vehicles with products and materials at the start of each working day.
Prepare products before installation.
Support and assist the head fitter throughout installation.
Measuring and cutting materials as required.
Provide excellent customer service and address any client enquiries or concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Meeting deadlines and ensuring high standards of quality.
Punctuality and reliability in all aspects of work.
Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.
Clean up behind head fitter to meet our exceptional standards of cleanliness.
Empty and sweep van, clearing of any rubbish at the end of each working day.

Experience

Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A good understanding of Health & Safety.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
A full and current driving licence or the intention to work towards within the next year.
Although some labouring experience would be advantageous, full training will be given.

Job Type:
Full Time

Hours: 39 per week

Salary:
Negotiable depending on experience
