This Christian charity are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their passionate team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will manage a small team and take the lead on all things technical accounting, from statutoryaccounts preparation to audit coordination.

The key duties of this Financial Accountant role are as follows:

Manage a team of four Finance Officers, providing leadership and guidance, whilst giving them ample opportunity to reach their full career potential.
Take the lead in the annual audit process, developing the schedules and liaising with the External Auditors.
Full responsibility for preparing the statutory returns for all of the charity's grants.
Coordinate the preparation of the financial statements, liaising with all relevant departments and stakeholders to bring all of the information together.
Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet, ensuring all reconciliations have been completed in a timely fashion.
Play a key role in the preparation of the cashflow forecasts and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
Completed at least the first level of their accountancy exams.
Experience of at least assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts.
Ideally, a background working in the charity sector, but this is by no means essential.
Brilliant communication skills and confidence to liaise with external auditors.
Experience of managing or supervising a small team (ideal).
