Due to additional grant funding, the Fire Protection team at East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service are pleased to be recruiting for an administration assistant for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

At the Protection Department at East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, we have a statutory requirement to effectively and efficiently enforce all Fire Safety Legislation for which East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has responsibility, which aims to make our community safer.

To improve our efficiency, we have the need to digitalise our paper files, and have a full time temporary vacancy, (12 months fixed term contract), to support this activity.

The role of the administration assistant will be to support the move to a fully digitalized administration process, within the department.

This will include travelling to the various Protection hubs, (Eastbourne & Hove), and a Service pool car will be available for this purpose, (providing you meet the criteria of our insurer).

It is essential you have a full UK Drivers License, or accepted European License for this purpose

Your duties will mainly consist of scanning paper files and data entry, to support the move from paper to digital files.

You will need basic IT skills and and will receive a full induction into the role.

The hours will be worked over 5 days per week, although there may be some flexibility, which would need to be discussed at interview.
