Description
A Truly Global Business

GKN Aerospace is the original aerospace innovator. For decades, GKN Aerospace technologies have inspired and industrialized the aerospace industry, combining engineering excellence and technology leadership. All major aircraft and engine manufacturers rely on our advanced technologies. Our aerostructures, engine systems and special products improve the performance of more than 100,000 flights every day.

By working closely together with universities, knowledge institutes, suppliers and customers, we lead the industry in developing new technology to improve aircraft efficiency:
lowering aircraft cost, weight and emissions.

Every day, around the world, we help aircrafts fly further, faster and greener. We're the world's leading tier one aerospace supplier of systems and components.

With over 15,000 employees across 38 manufacturing sites in 12 countries serving over 90% of the world's aircraft and engine manufacturers with sales of £2.8bn.

Together as "one GKN" we're moving our business and industry forward developing technologies that rapidly decarbonise aircraft, and innovating to help build a new generation of planes that produce zero emissions.

We're putting sustainability at the heart of what we do; driving our objective to becoming a net zero greenhouse gas emissions business before 2050
The Opportunity

As aerospace continues to emerge from the pandemic, the focus remains on working towards a sustainable and successful future.

Continued investment in novel low and zero emissions technologies, evolving sustainable supply chains, and developing a skilled workforce to deliver the next era of flight, GKN Aerospace; in connection with The Aerospace Growth Partnership (AGP) is at the heart of these developments.

Formed in 2010, The AGP is a joint Government - Industry initiative to help UK aerospace companies improve their competitiveness, boost growth and increase aerospace exports.

The AGP is a structure of Boards and groups where Government and Industry come together to tackle the barriers that our sector faces.

GKN Aerospace has been an active participant in this programme with John Pritchard, President Civil Aerospace representing GKN Aerospace on the AGP Board.

The AGP is governed by a Steering Board which is supported by four working groups, namely, Strategy, Skills, Manufacturing Supply Chain, and Engagement.

Each Working Group and the Board of the AGP is supported by one or more Programme Managers on secondment from industry.

The Programme Managers report to the AGP Programme Director and the Working Group Chairs.

Working with UK Government departments, the partnership drives sector policies and strategies that impact and benefit the whole of the aerospace sector.

This opportunity will give you an unrivalled insight into the operation of Government and Industry working in partnership in the UK.

The opportunity offers flexibility both in terms of base location out of any one of our UK sites; Solihull, Bristol, Portsmouth, Luton, London or Isle of Wight and regular hybrid working in line with business requirements.
