Senior project Manager - Public Sector - Tier 1 Contractor - Southwest

Your new company

You will join a reputable, historic and well respected Tier 1 contractor who operate across the South West of the UK - encouraging investment and innovation across the patch.

Your new company have delivered large and often unique builds which have become realpoints of difference, for example linking terminals at Bristol Airport, rebuilding of Cheltenham Racecourse, new homes at Falmouth Golf Course and expansion of St Mary's Harbour on the Isles of Scilly

Your new roleAs a Project Manager you'll be working within the team, supporting the team with managing, monitoring, developing and driving all aspects of the programme of works.

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensure the project is running on time
  • Keeping the project within H&S regulations and that it is running in line with clients needs
  • To manage the project Budget alongside the Commercial team and ensure the project runs to budget
  • Stakeholder management including Senior Management and the Client
  • Management of all teams on site including Site Supervisors/Operational Teams/Subcontractors

What you'll need to succeedI would be very interested in hearing from you if you can demonstrate the following:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a similar business.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams within a competitive business environment.
  • Able to take the lead with client interfaces and manage project delivery on technical and business aspects of team outputs.
  • Able to establish project requirements and drive the team to deliver the required outputs in terms of quality, cost and programme.
