About the Role:


This is a varied role within the technology function, developing the way we use technology and data to help our teams do their job better and our senior leadership team manage our business.

You'll play a key role in getting new technology developed and rolled out to improve efficiency and help us work smarter.

Making sure we have clean, current data and we're using that data to make good decisions about how we market and manage our business and support our clients.


About you:


Knowledge & Experience:


This role requires an interest in technology, including using and analysing business data, supporting colleagues to get the best out of the technology we use and finding new ways that technology can improve the way we work.


Experience in the following would be beneficial:

  • Experience working with data, either as an analyst/assistant or in a similar role
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel, Using Office 365 suite of tools, Teams and SharePoint
  • Managing databases and manipulating data
  • Experience of working with data analytical and data visualisation tools such as Power Query and Microsoft Power BI would be desirable, but not essential
  • Experience of working with databases such as SQL or Microsoft Dataverse would be desirable, but not essential

Skills, abilities & personal qualities:

  • Excellent attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accuracy
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels
  • Keenness to share your knowledge to help others become more confident with using data and technology
  • Ability to work simultaneously across several projects, managing your own time and projects to deliver results and as a team.

Key Responsibilities:


Data & CRM database management:

  • Analyse data collected around the business, building reports and dashboards to tell a story.
  • Continually review and suggest improvements on how and where our data is held.
  • Build dashboards and reports to track business metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Carry out regular and adhoc reporting for the business.
  • Working with internal service lines to help them collect, store, organise and visualise their data for internal use and presenting to clients.
  • Manage data tasks for example cleansing and retention checks within our CRM database system.
  • Train new staff on how to use the CRM system & support existing staff so they use the CRM system more.

Technology support:

  • Become a super user on all key systems (currently this includes Teams, Decisions for Teams, CRM systems, SharePoint, Adobe Sign etc), helping train and support the PSGS team
  • Help manage our bespoke adviser portal, working with our team and portal developer to enhance functionality
  • Help maintain intranet & digital hub work with the team to make these as useful & relevant as possible
  • Assist with roll out of other IT systems & projects and production of management information
