Description

Do you have drive, enthusiasm and a passion to help take the North further? If yes, then come and be part of our amazing team here at TransPennine Express.

We are an intercity train company connecting people and communities across our cities and major towns in the North of England and Scotland.

Together we will continue to transform rail travel with faster, easier journeys that offer a step change in services with our fleet of new high-tech trains.

The North is a vibrant place to live and work and here at TransPennine Express our services are helping to keep the country moving.

If you want to be involved in something truly transformative, that will have a lasting impact on how we travel, then please join us and help us to take the North further.

As Marketing Executive, you'll help us engage with customers and promote the longer-term benefits of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) programme to an audience across the North of England.

TRU is a once-in-a-generation level of investment that will not only improve people' journeys, but it will also make a real difference to their lives through better access to education, employment, and social opportunities.

While raising awareness and advocacy, you will help ensure that current rail customers are able to plan their journeys while there are changes to services.

This dual approach will enable us to maximise growth opportunities as the programme matures, while retaining an engaged customer base while the programme is delivered.

It's a chance to work closely with the communications, customer insight and project teams as well as external suppliers and industry partners.

Together, you'll create marketing communications that keep our customers informed, engaged, and inspire train travel in the future.

Here's a few things you will be doing:

  • Help implement the marketing strategy across a range of owned, earned, and paid channels, working with media and creative agencies to deliver consumer marketing campaigns that are informed by customer and stakeholder insight
  • Continually analyse performance to refine content as the campaign progresses
  • Manage social media accounts, including posting, scheduling, and analysing performance to optimise growth and engagement
  • Understand the customer journey, proactively seeking customer feedback and acting on this to make improvements to the digital touchpoints
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to develop new approaches in areas such as engaging content generation
  • Support colleagues in undertaking administrative tasks to ensure coordination of the team's activities, campaigns and partnership activity to engage with local communities.
  • Be the brand guardian, maintaining brand guidelines, supporting colleagues, and ensuring consistency across all design deliverables.

About you
You've worked in B2C marketing before and are looking for an opportunity to progress your career.

This will help build on your academic background in Marketing (or related field) such as a university degree, marketing industry qualifications, an apprenticeship or equivalent.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about Marketing, has an eye for creativity and will bring new ideas to the table as we want to continually evolve our approach.

You'll be confident at working within a wider team, a great communicator, numerate and analytical.

The ability to critically review and input suggestions into new ways of working is something that we would value very highly.
