As a Regulatory Specialist you will be an expert in the regulation of biocidal products supporting our Hygiene, Home & Personal Care business.

In this role you will operate in a matrix organisation working with a team of Regulatory Managers, Specialists and Professionals to deliver a complex regulatory program to meet the strategic requirements of the business.

You will lead on the development and implementation of our new "Supplemental Registration Programme" and help to provide an efficient regulatory and registration service which is responsive to both internal and external customers.

This position is located in Blackley, UK but could also report into Delft, Netherlands or Hannover, Germany.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide biocide & chemicals policy analysis, regulatory expertise and advice
  • Key Contact for the "Supplemental Registration Programme" with responsibility for its continued development & delivery as well as ensuring that regulatory requirements for both Arxada and our customers are clearly understood and met
  • Responsible for communication with customers including timely responses to internal and external customer queries regarding product registrations, onboarding and same biocidal product authorisation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, chemistry or other related discipline
  • Integrity and a professional approach to work
  • Extensive experience in chemical regulatory affairs with an excellent knowledge of the EU regulatory framework for biocides
  • A working knowledge of allied regulations (eg. Cosmetics, Medical Devices, REACH, CLP etc)
  • A good understanding of chemistry, efficacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate studies or risk assessment methodologies
  • Commercially astute and able to explain complex issues to customers and nonexperts in a confident manner
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a matrix organization
  • Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines with attention to detail
  • Able to grasp new concepts quickly and to assimilate/evaluate scientific data
  • Strong influencing/negotiation and communication skills
