Job Title:
MIS Technical Support Specialist


Salary:
£26,000 - £30,000 FTE _dependent on experience_


Hours:
Full time, term time only


Contract:
Permanent


Location:
South East England from our office in Hammersmith or Milton Keynes


This is an exciting role with an established schools support partner providing high quality support to schools in the use of SIMS via helpdesk, written guidance, and remote support.

In particular, to support key processes such as SIMS upgrades, installations and migrations.


We are looking for someone with a proven track record of working with schools supporting staff and as part of a strong team.

Strictly Education is part of Supporting Education Group which provides extensive CPD and career development opportunities for all staff.


The role will involve:


  • Acting as 1st line support on the MIS service desk and liaising with other Support Staff to resolve faults and queries
  • Recording calls on the service desk and following up to resolution
  • Escalating support calls to other Support Staff when appropriate or directly to suppliers in a timely way and keeping clients updated of progress
  • Carrying out SIMS upgrades
  • New installations of SIMS software
  • Working as part of the MIS Support Team and Strictly Education as a whole to promote and develop the business in line with the company values and ethos

What we are looking for:


  • Experience of using or supporting SIMS
  • Experience of providing technical SIMS and FMS support to schools including associated products
  • Experience of SIMS Server installations and migrations utilising SOLUS
  • Ability to explain solutions to nontechnical customers with a high degree of patience and understanding
Good attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving
