The starting salary for this position is £21,769 per annum (pro rata to £36,282 FTE), based on a 21.6 hour working week.


We have a vacancy for a fixed term contract or internal secondment opportunity to cover maternity leave in our Adult Social Care Information Governance Team and would end 29/02/2024.

The team has a responsibility to support the Service in complying with its legal information law responsibilities.

Whilst your office base will be Guildford Borough Council's Offices, the team are working flexibly in the current public health circumstanceand predominantly based at home and other suitable Surrey offices.


A key requirement of this role will be, as mentioned, supporting the service achieve legal compliance and as such relevant experience in working with information law or information management are essential.

To be

clearly evidence:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of information governance legislation, particularly the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of records management procedures
  • Ability to work on own initiative, both independently and as a part of a team, under pressure and with effective time management and selforganisation skills
