This is a full-time post offered on a fixed contract for 12 months.
The Home Ventilation Service at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow manages packages of care for non-invasive and invasively ventilated children across Scotland.
Ventilated children is at the heart of what we do and as a team leader within our team, you will work to co-ordinate and manage packages of care for children requiring long-term ventilatory support in both the hospital and community setting.
You will lead, support and manage teams of ventilation support workers providing home care and provide emotional, practical and educational support to team members and families of children requiring long-term ventilatory support.
As part of our ongoing commitment to developing the Home Ventilation Service we are looking for the Ventilation Service Team Leader to demonstrate vision and be forward thinking.
You will be a paediatric nurse, have experience relevant to children with complex care needs and a passion for achieving high quality services.
You will have previous management experience and knowledge of Clinical Governance.You must be a team player with the ability to problem solve.
You will work flexibly as part of a team and be able to balance staff/patient contact and management responsibilities. You should have the ability to problem solve and possess good computer skills. Car driver essential.
