Catering Assistant

Permanent, Part time (25 hours) Term Time Only + 5 additional training days

Salary:
Scale 2 points 4-5 (£12,191 - £12,413 pro rata)

Impington Village College is looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to assist in providing a friendly catering service. You will perform a variety of manual tasks associated with food production and service.

You will work as part of the school catering team to undertake duties in the kitchen/service areas as requested to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered at all times.


We are looking for a friendly, diligent member of staff who takes pride in their work, being able to prioritise your workload and work unsupervised.

You will have a high level of concentration, paying attention to detail and accuracy.

The primary purpose of this role includes, but not exhausted to:

  • To assist in the preparation of food and snacks.
  • To keep the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times.
  • To provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.
  • To be customer focused at all times, by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
  • To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers; to seek the appropriate knowledge of food items sold throughout catering areas and to keep areas and service counters clean and fully stocked.
