How you'll spend your time_:
_


  • Overseeing the completion of payrolls that are part of a payroll service for 35,000 colleagues over 43 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls, over weekly, lunar and monthly payrolls.
  • You will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex queries from our colleagues across the business
  • Supporting and training team members on payroll processes, legislative changes and colleague queries.
  • Ensuring that payroll is processed right first time and in the right way, in line with internal policies and legislative requirements.
  • Measure the success of the team, looking for ways to continuously improve our processes and accuracy and, with the support of management, putting these changes into place.
  • Supporting key stakeholders and departments across the business and cascading data and reports as required.

  • You have previous experience of working with complex and highvolume payrolls
  • An understanding of tax and NI rules and able to calculate advances, arrears and additional payment values.
  • Awareness of the administration of HMRC remittances, court orders, and employee benefits like pensions and healthcare
  • You have a desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Able to organise your time to meet key deadlines both by yourself and as part of the team
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to break down pay queries to make it understandable for your colleagues and team members
