Summary of the role
The role of the event operator is to be the face of Strata on site.

You will be the person setting up equipment, making sure the event goes smoothly in the background and supporting our project teams in the delivery of world class events, across the UK and Europe.

You will need to be a problem solver and a fixer so that you can handle whatever is thrown at you.

You will be joining a well established operations department at a very exciting time as they have doubled in size within the last year and have big plans to continue this upward trajectory.


Responsibilities

  • Delivery of event kit on site and being responsible for setting it up, ensuring the highest standard of quality, safety and accuracy.
  • Some events may have you working on your own whilst others will have you supporting other event operators, project teams, freelance, staff, as well as a host of other agencies and suppliers.
  • When set up is done, you may be required to stay on site for the duration, keeping an eye on kit, solving problems that raise their head and ensuring the seamless delivery of the event
  • Representing Strata to clients and members of the public whilst on site
  • Working closely with the operations and warehouse team to make sure equipment is well maintained and looked after and ensuring our asset management system is utilised and up to date.

About you

  • Attention to detail and time keeping are critical for this role
  • This is a challenging role that needs someone with a cando attitude and ability to work on your own at events for setup and derig of kit
  • A practical attitude and experience in being able to complete event set ups on site, or other relatable projects, using basic hand tools and conforming to relevant H&S risk assessments
  • A clean driving licence is required with the ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5T. Ideally CPC or the willingness to work towards one.
  • No exciting job in the events industry is 95, so flexibility is key.
