Optometrist Position


My client is an independent who is looking to add to their team by recruiting a full time Optometrist for their well-appointed small group of practices in the South East & South West London areas.

They have an OCT in practice and boasts a growth throughout the whole year and still going. They are proud of the service they are offering to one of the biggest patient bases in the business.

They are very well established in the communities and as such the owner is looking to take on a three years plus experienced optometrist who is flexible to work across the business.


Opening hours are Mon-Fri- 9-5 & Sat 9-3, (only two Sats per month required), Closed Easter & also Xmas 24th-2nd Jan & closed on Sundays & bank holidays.

They offer 30-40mins clinics al in single clinic practices & services such as MECS & OCT as well as pre and post cataract.

They operate a relaxed smart dress code in a friendly and airy environment.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist


This role is primarily a clinical position and you will be conducting sight tests in 30-40-minute slots dependent on client's requirements and clinic frequency.

You will also undertake contact lens fittings and aftercares on the more specialist side.

As with most independent companies all members of staff are required to help in all areas of the practice and you will be required to come onto the shop floor and answer questions etc.

Requirements of the Optometrist

Applications are welcome from 3 years plus GOC registered Optometrists only, or vastly experienced. You will be a strong team player who is always keen to better yourself with strong commercial skills.

Compensation for the Optometrist


Salary package is flexible depending on experience £55,000 - £75,000, with GOC fees paid, (Other benefits specific to you will be discussed at interview).
