Position Overview

Avantor, a Fortune 500 organisation, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Production Operative to join us.

You will take responsibility for support the assembly of HPLC Columns to be used in Chromatography procedures and we are offering this role on a Full Time permanent basis.


Working hours:
Monday-Thursday 1:45 -10:30 Fridays 1:45-6:15


Location: 1, The Markham Centre,, Station Road, Theale, Reading RG7 4PE


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Working in a laboratory production environment, you will carry out and support the assembly of HPLC Columns to be used in Chromatography procedures
  • Undertake process operations under the supervision of a senior member of staff, in accordance with all relevant production procedures and process instructions
  • Be responsible for keeping your working area clean, uncontaminated, and organised at all times
  • Perform basic routine maintenance and report any issues to the Facilities Manager to minimise instrument downtime.

Experience Required

  • Strong numerical skill and a good understanding of written English
  • Ideally, previous experience working in an industrial production or any fastpaced environment
  • The ability to perform linear tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven experience working efficiently in high pressured environments
