    Quality Coordinator Role in Food Manufacturing

    We are seeking a skilled Quality Coordinator to assist the Technical Manager in maintaining food safety, quality, and hygiene practices across our UK business.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Complete technical information for internal and external reports.
    • Administer various databases, ensuring timely and detail-oriented generation of information.
    • Inspect and assess raw materials and finished products against specifications.
    • Contribute to customer complaints investigations.
    • Audit site production and technical traceability and CCP paperwork, ensuring high standards and assured traceability.
    • Support generation of quality statements (e.g., Certificates of Analysis).
    • Calibrate measuring equipment periodically.
    • Cover for the Technical Coordinator in their absence.
    • Complete GMP Audits and contribute to improvement of site standards.
    • Complete Fabrication and Glass and brittle material Audits.
    • Maintain the production and raw material samples database by collecting samples on delivery, assessing them against specification, and storing stock for potential issues.
    • Collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
    • Perform allergen rapid testing and arrange for allergen samples and swabs to be sent to the lab.
    • Conduct Environmental control testing via environmental swabs and samples.
    • Organise retention library samples and ensure cleanliness of the sample area.
    • Complete internal audits, including Glass, Packaging, and Critical Control Points.
    • Log laboratory samples for microbiological, nutritional, pesticide, heavy metal, and shelf-life analysis, and inform relevant personnel when limits are exceeded.
    • Evaluate QMS documentation and suggest improvements where needed.
    • Conduct daily taste panels, record results, and share findings with the wider teams.
    • Prepare samples for customers and other departments as required.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 2 training.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry (preferred).
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • An understanding of microbiology and hazards.
    • Flexibility and reliability.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills in a busy environment.
