Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic staff member to join our dedicated and friendly kitchen teams in our care home to support our elderly clients.
The home is well known in the local community, has good reputations and is rated "Good" by CQC, they have also been awarded 5 stars from the Food Standards Agency.
You will be expected to provide support to the Kitchen with preparing nutritious food on a daily basis and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy.
Previous experience is not required for this post
Required skills and requirements
- Previous experiance would be an advantage but not required
- Ability to work under pressure either alone or as part of a team
- Good time management & organisational skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic food hygiene certificate (an NVQ level 2 and intermediate/advanced food hygiene are desirable) but not essential
- Maintain AbleCares high standards and expectations to maintain its 5 star rating
- Free uniforms

- Every other weekend off
- Good rate of pay of up to £2 above the NMW

Up to £11.50 per hour
