Description

At Reed we have worked with Primary Schools extensively over the past year to deliver Tuition and Catch-Up provision via the National Tutoring Programme.

Tuition can be on a 1:1 basis, or indeed with small groups.

As a Primary School Tutor, you will build strong working relationships with pupils and you will have the ability to assess children's ever-changing ability on a session-by-session basis, ensuring work is pitched appropriately.

These tutoring sessions will play a vital role in allowing children to make expected progress - the impact of the pandemic on actual progress vs ARE has been huge - help us help them narrow the gap.

Where, what, when and why?

  • In Primary School settings across the Wakefield & Leeds Local Authorities
  • Tuition via structured packages of 15 hours on a 1:1 up to 1:6 basis secured and timetabled to meet your availability
OR on a more flexible basis and organised in partnership with the school via School-Led tuition
  • For roles to start in January 2023, we need tutors now so that we can coordinate requirements in a timely and effective manor
  • The average learning loss for maths for primary pupils was 5.3 months in Yorkshire and the Humber following the pandemic every effort must be made to counter this.

Eligibility:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or HLTA status
  • The desire to make a difference to the education of pupils
  • A clear and enhanced DBS and completion of the Reed compliance process
This is a rewarding opportunity for somebody keen to make a real difference.

You will be well supported by ourselves at Reed; we will work to your preferences in terms of the volume of work you want, and we will ensure you have new assignments lined up aseach one ends.
